It is an instructional and recreational 8-class youth basketball program designed for preschoolers or kindergarteners to have fun while learning rules and skills of the game. Kids practice the fundamentals of basketball like dribbling, shooting, passing and in most cases, going the right way down the court through fun drills and games.

The YMCA offers basketball for kids in Kindergarten through 8th grade to help kids work on teamwork, basketball fundamentals and character development. The Lil’ Dribblers BOYS and GIRLS leagues are for boys and girls in kindergarten through 1st grade. Participants will play 3 v 3 half court and the coaches will help with officiating.

Through positive coaching, our Jr. Clippers Youth Basketball program teaches young athletes the fundamentals of the game while building their confidence, getting them active, and helping them learn valuable lessons in teamwork, sportsmanship and leadership. Our Jr. Clippers Basketball program and basketball leagues run year-round and are open to both boys and girls.
Our youth basketball leagues help kids improve their skills, challenge themselves and grow in sportsmanship. Our basketball programs emphasize the values of team sports, including fair play, team work and having fun. Due to the circumstances surrounding COVID-19, the Y has adjusted some of our normal operating procedures.
