Method 1: Using a Tennis Racquet to Find Your Tennis Grip Size. Start off by placing the tennis racquet in front of you on a flat surface. One of the ways you can narrow down your search is by determining your correct grip size. Essentially, the grip size is the circumference of the handle of a tennis racket. The size you will need will depend on the size of your hand and the length of your fingers.

But the most common grip sizes for men are 3,4,5 and women 1,2,3. If an individual is between tennis racket grip sizes then they could try a leather under-grip to decrease the thickness. It is also commonly told that if a player uses a smaller grip size by a half size or a size, then it is easier to get under the ball.
