EV3 Enterprise is a robot built using parts from the 31313 LEGO® MINDSTORMS® EV3 Set. This robot has a base that only uses 82 pieces. Sensor and motor modules easily snap on to the base robot as the student needs. (The robot has optional instructions for adding a gyro and second color sensor. The infrared can also replaced with the ultrasonic if needed.) This robot has been tested and approved by EV3Lessons.com
Find a clear space on a smooth floor where one or more small-scale soccer fields can be set up for the EV3 robots. Either prepare the fields and goals in advance of the class, or have students create them as part of the activity. Use black tape to create the field boundaries and end goals (see a diagram of a typical soccer field on slide 24). The game is just for fun, so no specific dimensions exist for field or goal size or scoring.

In this episode, we introduce a LEGO Mindstorms EV3 version of competition robot construction. It is a modular construction, with medium motor for additional attachments and two light or colour sensors for orientating on the field. In the video, we take a look at the construction and point out some key characteristics of the construction.

I got bored of the robot starter instructions when I built it, and then I got to this site, and I was glad to see other robot designs on this web site. I’m just so used to using the normal, school Ev3, and the one I built for FLL™, so thank you and a happy New Year.
